HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 870

A JOINT RESOLUTION to confirm the appointment of Philip A. Baddour III to the north carolina industrial commission.

Whereas, G.S. 97‑77(a1) provides that appointments by the Governor to the North Carolina Industrial Commission are subject to confirmation by the General Assembly; and

Whereas, the term of Bernadine Ballance expires on April 30, 2017; and

Whereas, the Governor wishes to appoint Philip A. Baddour III to the North Carolina Industrial Commission; Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

SECTION 1.  The appointment of Philip A. Baddour III to a term on the North Carolina Industrial Commission to begin on May 1, 2017, and expire on April 30, 2023, is confirmed.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon ratification.
