AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR VISUALLY HANDICAPPED STUDENTS IN NORTH CAROLINA.
The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Section 1. For the purpose of purchasing textbooks for use by visually handicapped students in the public school system under such rules and conditions as the State Board of Education may prescribe there shall be expended by the State Board of Education from funds appropriated for the purchase of free textbooks sums not to exceed the following: for the fiscal year 1961‑1962 five thousand six hundred and twenty‑five dollars ($5,625.00); for the fiscal year 1962‑63, the sum of seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500.00).
Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
