HOUSE BILL 484

 

 

AN ACT RELATING TO THE POWER OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE TOWN OF HUNTERSVILLE TO LEVY TAXES AND FIX THE SALARY OF THE TOWN CLERK.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Notwithstanding any charter provisions to the contrary, the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Huntersville is authorized to levy an ad valorem tax for general purposes not exceeding the limitation expressed in G. S. 160-402, and one dollar ($1.00)    on each poll, on all property and persons within the town limits.

Sec. 2. Notwithstanding any charter provisions to the contrary, the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Huntersville is authorized to fix the salary of the town clerk in such amount as it may from time to time deem reasonable.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
