AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 314 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF NORTH CAROLINA, 1953, RELATING TO ELECTIONS IN THE TOWN OF MAXTON.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Chapter 314 of the Session Laws of North Carolina, 1953, is hereby amended by striking out Section 4 in its entirety as the same appears therein and inserting in lieu thereof a new Section 4 which shall read as follows:

"Sec. 4. Except as otherwise provided in this Act, all municipal elections conducted in the Town of Maxton subsequent to the effective date of this Act shall be conducted in accordance with the general laws of North Carolina relating to municipal elections."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
