AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE POLICEMEN AND OTHER LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS OF THE TOWN OF GARNER TO MAKE ARRESTS AND SERVE CRIMINAL PROCESS AT ANY PLACE IN WAKE COUNTY WITHIN A RADIUS OF THREE MILES DISTANCE FROM THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID TOWN.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. All policemen, town constables, town marshalls or other law enforcement officers of the Town of Garner charged with the duty of making arrests or otherwise enforcing the criminal laws are hereby authorized and empowered to make arrests, enforce the criminal laws and to serve any and all process at any point or place in Wake County within a distance of three (3) miles from the corporate limits or boundaries of said Town of Garner, but not within the corporate limits of any other municipality.

Sec. 2. Chapter 615, Session Laws of 1961 and all other laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
