AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF HENDERSON COUNTY TO LEVY A SPECIAL TAX FOR THE OPERATION OF THE COUNTY AMBULANCE SERVICE.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The Board of Commissioners of Henderson County is authorized and empowered to levy a special tax for the purpose of financing the operation of the county ambulance service, said tax not to exceed five cents (5¢) on each one hundred dollars ($100.00) valuation of property in the county, and such levy is hereby declared necessary and for a special and necessary public purpose, and shall be in addition to any other tax levy, general or special, which the board of commissioners is authorized to make.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
