AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF MITCHELL COUNTY TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS NOT EXCEEDING $15,000.00 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF WATER AND SEWER LINES AND ROADS FROM THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF MUNICIPALITIES THEREIN TO UNINCORPORATED COMMUNITIES WITHIN THE COUNTY IN WHICH INDUSTRIAL PLANTS ARE LOCATED.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The Board of Commissioners of Mitchell County is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to appropriate, make available, and spend from any available funds an amount not exceeding fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00) for the purpose of building, relocating and extending water and sewer lines and relocating roads from the corporate limits of any municipality in said county to communities or locations outside of the corporate limits of any municipality therein. Such water lines and roads shall be built or rebuilt and constructed for the purpose of public health and to promote the public health and betterment in communities and locations in the county where groups of employees live in and around factories and mills and where water, sewerage and roads are necessary to promote industrial purposes.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
