HOUSE BILL 1137

 

 

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE TOWN OF BROADWAY TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH LEE COUNTY UNDER WHICH THE COUNTY WILL FURNISH POLICE PROTECTION FOR SAID TOWN.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The governing board of the Town of Broadway in Lee County is authorized to enter into a contract with the Board of County Commissioners of said County under which the County will furnish a law enforcement officer for said Town. The governing board of the Town of Broadway is authorized to pay to Lee County an annual amount of twelve hundred dollars ($1200.00) to defray the expense of furnishing police protection in said Town.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
