AN ACT TO AMEND THE COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL 140, SENATE BILL 72, ENACTED AS CHAPTER 448 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1963, ON THE 17TH DAY OF MAY, 1963, RELATING TO EDUCATION BEYOND THE HIGH SCHOOL.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  House Bill No. 140, Senate Bill 72, enacted as Chapter 448 of the Session Laws of 1963, on the 17th day of May, 1963, is hereby amended by adding immediately following subsection (c) on line 19 of page 8, a new sentence to read as follows:

"Provided, however, that funds heretofore appropriated to the Department of Administration under the provisions of Article 3 of Chapter 116 of the General Statutes, to be allocated to Asheville-Biltmore College, Charlotte College and Wilmington College as matching funds for capital improvements in accordance with the provisions of G.S. 116-53 (b), which appropriated funds remain unexpended by reason of their not having been matched by local funds, shall not revert to the general fund until June 30, 1964, and may be allocated by the Advisory Budget Commission to Asheville-Biltmore College, Charlotte College and Wilmington College prior to that date."

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
