AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE NOMINATION OF MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION IN POLK COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. In the primary election to be held in Polk County in 1966, and biennially thereafter, there shall be nominated by each political party, in the party primary at the same time and in the same general manner as that in which other county officers are nominated, one candidate for the office of membership on the Board of Education in Polk County from each of the five townships of the county, to wit: Columbus, Cooper's Gap, Green Creek, Saluda and White Oak Townships.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 13th day of April, 1965.
