AN ACT RELATING TO THE EXPENDITURE OF PROFITS FROM THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL STORES IN VANCE COUNTY BY THE CITY OF HENDERSON.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. Section 2 of Chapter 40 of the Session Laws of 1943 is hereby amended by rewriting said Section in its entirety to read as follows:

"Sec. 2. All net profits received by the City of Henderson from the operation of Alcoholic Beverage Control Stores in Vance County shall be paid into the city general fund and may be expended for any proper municipal public purpose."

Sec. 2. All net profits derived by the City of Henderson from the operation of Alcoholic Beverage Control Stores in Vance County for the fiscal year July 1, 1964 -June 30, 1965, in excess of such part thereof as has heretofore been budgeted for the city debt service fund for said fiscal year, shall be also paid into the city general fund and may be expended for any proper municipal public purpose.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
