AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 75A OF THE GENERAL STATUTES SO AS TO REQUIRE SEWAGE TREATMENT OR HOLDING DEVICES ON BOATS OPERATING ON THE INLAND FISHING WATERS OF THE STATE.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  G.S. 75A-6, as it appears in the 1965 Supplement to Volume 2C of the General Statutes of North Carolina, is hereby amended as follows: (1) by adding the words "the inland fishing waters of the State as designated by the Wildlife Resources Commission and" immediately before the words "the inland lake waters" where they appear in the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth sentences of subsection (o); and

(2)        by adding the following sentence at the end of the fifth sentence in subsection (o): "A vessel registered, documented or otherwise licensed in another state and equipped with a marine toilet not prohibited in such state may be operated on the inland fishing waters of the State as designated by the Wildlife Resources Commission, without regard to the provisions of this subsection while making an interstate trip."

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall become effective on January 1, 1968.
