AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF CUMBERLAND COUNTY TO EXPEND, IN THEIR DISCRETION, NONTAX REVENUES FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF THE MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM LOCATED IN SAID COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. In addition to all other power and authority which the Board of County Commissioners of Cumberland County may have with respect to the expenditure of tax or nontax revenues of the County for any purpose concerning the maintenance and operation of the Cumberland County Memorial Auditorium-Exhibit Hall located in said County, said Board of County Commissioners is hereby authorized, if in its opinion it is necessary, desirable and proper, to expend an amount not to exceed fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) of nontax revenues except ABC funds of the County for the maintenance and operation of the Cumberland County Memorial Auditorium-Exhibit Hall located in said County and said expenditure of nontax revenues of said County is hereby declared to be for a necessary expense of said County, if in the opinion of the Board of County Commissioners of Cumberland County said expenditure is necessary, desirable and proper.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
