AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR ALTERNATE MEMBERS OF ENLARGED MUNICIPAL BOARDS OF ADJUSTMENT.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  G.S. 160-178, as the same appears in the 1965 Supplement to 1964 Replacement Volume 3D of the General Statutes, is hereby amended by striking out of the ninth line thereof the words "not more than two".

Sec. 2.  G.S. 160-181.2, as the same appears in the 1965 Supplement to 1964 Replacement Volume 3D of the General Statutes, is hereby amended by changing the period in the third line of the third paragraph thereof to a comma, and by inserting immediately following such comma the following words and punctuation: "and by adding alternate members equal to the number of alternate members appointed to the existing board of adjustment."

Sec. 3.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4.  This Act shall be effective upon its ratification.
