AN ACT TO PROVIDE COMPENSATION FOR THE CHAIRMAN AND MEMBERS OF THE ROBESON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The chairman of the Robeson County Board of Education shall receive, as compensation, the sum of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) per month, and the other members of the Board of Education shall receive as compensation the sum of fifteen dollars ($15.00) for each meeting of the board attended. In addition, the chairman and each member of the Robeson County Board of Education shall receive a travel allowance of eight cents (8¢) per mile for attending meetings of the board, said mileage to be computed on the basis of one round trip per meeting from the member's residence to the place where the meeting is held.

Sec. 2. The compensation provided in Section 1 of this Act shall be paid from the current expense budget of the Robeson County Board of Education.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
