AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 61, PUBLIC-LOCAL LAWS OF 1931, RELATING TO THE NOMINATION AND ELECTION OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS IN FRANKLIN COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Section 4 of Chapter 61, Public-Local Laws of 1931, is hereby amended by deleting, in line 10, the words "the highest number of votes", and substituting in lieu thereof the following: "a majority of the votes cast for candidates".

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
