HOUSE BILL 195

 

 

AN ACT TO CORRECT AND CONFIRM THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF KENLY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Section 3 of Chapter 185 of the Private Laws of 1909 is hereby rewritten to read as follows:

"Sec. 3. The corporate limits of the Town of Kenly shall be as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the center of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad where a canal crosses said railroad, said point being South 65 degrees 20 minutes West 2026.35 feet from a point formed by the intersection of the center line of Second Street and the center line of the southbound track of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, and the line runs thence with said canal as follows: North 11 degrees 41 minutes East 193.73 feet, North 15 degrees 57 minutes West 244.96 feet, North 15 degrees 21 minutes West 229 feet, North 15 degrees 19 minutes West 244.33 feet, North 31 degrees 26 minutes West 269.85 feet, North 11 degrees 45 minutes East 406.90 feet, North 04 degrees 32 minutes East 80.8 feet, North 04 degrees 27 minutes East 303.48 feet, and North 29 degrees 49 minutes East 380 feet to a concrete marker; thence North 65 degrees 20 minutes East 2948.10 feet, crossing Second Street, to a stake in the East margin of Hooks Street; thence with the East margin of Hooks Street South 24 degrees 40 minutes East, crossing U. S. Highway No. 301 and the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, 2913.41 feet to a point in the center of Tilghman Street; thence South 05 degrees 06 minutes West 1506.65 feet to a concrete marker; thence South 76 degrees 50 minutes West 3200 feet to a point in Fremont Street; thence North 24 degrees 10 minutes West 1584.93 feet to the BEGINNING."

Sec. 2. All actions and proceedings of the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the Town of Kenly had and taken prior to the ratification of this Act are hereby in all respects legalized, ratified, approved, validated and confirmed.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be effective upon its ratification.
