AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 222, SESSION LAWS OF 1967, RELATING TO THE TRANSPORTATION, POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN GASTON COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Section 9 of Chapter 222, Session Laws of 1967, is hereby amended by adding the following at the end of subsection (3) of G. S. 18-51.1, as set out in said Section 9: "Notwithstanding the establishment of one or more alcoholic beverage control stores in the Town of Kings Mountain, which is located in Cleveland and Gaston Counties, no permit shall be issued by the State Board of Alcoholic Control in Gaston County for the purposes defined in subsection (5) of G. S. 18.51 to any person, until an alcoholic beverage control store has been lawfully established in at least one other location in said Gaston County."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
