HOUSE BILL 15

 

 

AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT PERSONS EIGHTEEN YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER MAY GIVE BLOOD.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  Chapter 90 of the General Statutes is hereby amended by inserting a new section, G.S. 90-220.11, to read as follows:

"§ 90-220.11.  Giving of blood by persons eighteen years of age or more. — Any individual who is eighteen years of age or more may give or otherwise donate his blood to any individual, hospital, blood bank or blood collection center without the consent of the parent or parents or guardian of such individual."

Sec. 2.  This act shall be in full force and effect upon its ratification.
