AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT COUNTIES SHALL PAY CERTAIN ADDITIONAL BENEFITS FOR NURSING HOME CARE.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1.  Provisions in the 1971 appropriation act to the contrary notwithstanding, all allowable costs for nursing home care in excess of fourteen dollars ($14.00) per day, to the extent of the non-federal portion of such excess costs, shall be paid by the counties for their eligible recipients; provided, however, that total allowable costs to be paid shall not exceed eighteen dollars and fifty cents ($18.50) per day.

Sec. 2.  This act shall become effective upon ratification.
