HOUSE BILL 251

 

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 265 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1969 TO PROHIBIT THE HUNTING OF GAME ANIMALS WITH DOGS BETWEEN MARCH 1 AND 30 DAYS PRECEDING THE OPENING DATE OF THE DEER SEASON.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  Section 1 of Chapter 265 of the Session Laws of 1969 is hereby rewritten to read as follows:

"Section 1. It shall be unlawful to take, by or with the use of dogs, any game animal, including varmints (vermin) between March 1 and 30 days preceding the opening date of the deer season."

Sec. 2.  This act shall become effective upon ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 29th day of March, 1971.
