AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 111 OF THE GENERAL STATUTES TO PROVIDE THAT THE CIRCUMSTANCES AND CONDITIONS OF PERSONS RECEIVING AID TO THE BLIND BE REINVESTIGATED AT LEAST ANNUALLY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  G.S. 111-20, as it appears in the 1966 Replacement Volume 3A of the General Statutes, is hereby amended by deleting from the second sentence thereof the word "biannually" and substituting in lieu thereof the word "annually", making the second sentence of G.S. 111-20 read as follows:

"The North Carolina State Commission for the Blind and the board of county commissioners of each of the counties in which awards have been made shall at all times keep properly informed as to the circumstances and conditions of the persons to whom the awards are made, making reinvestigations annually or more often, as may be found necessary."

Sec. 2.  This act shall become effective July 1, 1971.
