HOUSE BILL 252

 

AN ACT TO ESTABLISH A BOARD OF EDUCATION OF BEAUFORT COUNTY WHICH SHALL CONSIST OF FIVE MEMBERS TO BE ELECTED FOR FOUR YEAR TERMS.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  The Board of Education of Beaufort County shall consist of five members elected for terms of four years.  One member shall be elected by the voters of the County from each of the following townships served by the Beaufort County Schools, to wit: Bath, Chocowinity, Long Acre, Pantego and Richland.

Sec. 2.  This act shall become effective upon ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 20th day of April, 1971.
