AN ACT TO AMEND G.S. 58-40.2, RELATING TO BONDS REQUIRED OF RESIDENT INSURANCE BROKERS.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1.  G.S. 58-40.2, as amended, is hereby further amended by rewriting the third sentence of subsection (a) thereof as the same appears in the 1965 Replacement Volume of the General Statutes of North Carolina, so that said sentence shall read as follows:

"The bond shall be conditioned on the accounting by the broker to any person requesting the broker to obtain insurance, for monies or premiums collected in connection therewith, or to any insurer or association of insurers under any plan or plans for the placement of insurance under the laws of North Carolina."

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This act shall be in full force and effect upon ratification.
