AN ACT TO REQUIRE NOTIFICATION OF CHANGE OF ADDRESS BY HOLDER OF A DRIVER'S LICENSE.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1.  Article 2 of Chapter 20 of the General Statutes of North Carolina is hereby amended by adding a new Section 20-7.1 to read as follows:

"§ 20-7.1.  Notification of change of address. — Whenever the holder of a license issued under the provisions of G.S. 20-7 changes his or her address as shown on such license, he or she shall notify the Division of Motor Vehicles of such change within 60 days after such address has been changed."

Sec. 2.  This act shall become effective on July 1, 1975.
