AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE TOWN OF CARRBORO TO PURCHASE INSURANCE TO PROTECT ITS OFFICERS, AGENTS OR EMPLOYEES AGAINST LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES CAUSED BY THEIR WRONGFUL ACTS OR OMISSIONS PERFORMED WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THEIR DUTIES.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1. The Town of Carrboro is hereby authorized to contract to insure any of its officers, agents, or employees against liability for wrongful death or negligent or intentional damage to person or property or against absolute liability for damage to person or property caused by an act or omission of any of its officers, agents, or employees when acting within the scope of their authority in the course of their employment.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This act shall become effective upon ratification.
