GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF NORTH CAROLINA

CHAPTER 202
AN ACT TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF MORGANTON FOR THE PURPOSE OF PERMITTING THE MAYOR TO VOTE ON ALL ISSUES.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
Section 1. The Charter of the City of Morganton, being Chapter 180, Session Laws of 1975, is amended by rewriting Section 2.15(b) to read:
"(b) The Mayor shall preside at meetings of the Council and shall have all the rights, powers, duties and responsibilities of a member of the Council, including the right to vote on all matters before the Council."
Sec. 2. This act is effective upon ratification.
