GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF NORTH CAROLINA

CHAPTER 689
AN ACT TO AMEND G.S. 58-43 RELATING TO NONRESIDENT AGENTS.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
Section 1. G.S. 58-43 is amended in line 7 thereof by deleting the phrase "to represent the same company".
Sec. 2. G.S. 58-43 is further amended after the word "Chapter" by changing the period to a semicolon and adding the following: "provided, that the provisions of this sentence apply to the extent that the laws or regulations of the nonresident's home state make similar provisions for residents of North Carolina."
Sec. 3. This act is effective upon ratification.
