The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
Section 1. Chapter 212 of the 1973 Session Laws reads as rewritten:
"Section 1. The Salisbury City Board of Education
is hereby authorized and empowered to convey any parcel or parcels of surplus
real estate which it may now own to the Rowan County Vocational Workshop, Inc.
provided, however, that the deed conveying said land to the Rowan County
Vocational Workshop, Inc., shall contain a reversionary or condition subsequent
clause which shall provide, in effect, that the fee in the land shall revert to
the Salisbury City Board of Education in the event the land is no longer used
for the purposes for which the Rowan County Vocational Workshop, Inc., was
established. Inc.
Section 1.1. The Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education may convey to the Rowan County Vocational Workshop, Inc., for monetary and/or nonmonetary consideration, any remaining interest in property previously conveyed to the Rowan County Vocational Workshop, Inc., in accordance with Section 1 of this act.
Sec. 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 1973."
Section 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
