The Research Division is a non-partisan central office that provides legal and other research, bill drafting, policy analysis and library services to committees and members of the General Assembly. To provide these services, the Research Division employs permanent staff consisting of lawyers, legislative analysts having advanced degrees and experience in various areas, research assistants, a professional law librarian who supervises additional professional and paraprofessional library staff, and support staff.
