A JOINT RESOLUTION authorizing the legislative research commission to study issues relating to immigration.

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

SECTION 1.  The Legislative Research Commission is authorized to study all issues relating to immigration. The Commission may review State policies and make recommendations on changes necessary to address the rising population of immigrants within the State.

SECTION 2.  The Commission shall make a final report of its recommendations to the 2005 General Assembly and may make an interim report to the 2004 Regular Session of the 2003 General Assembly.

SECTION 3.  This resolution is effective upon ratification.
