A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT TO amend the definition of a malt beverage under the Alcoholic Beverage control laws.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. G.S. 18B-101(9) reads as rewritten:
"(9) 'Malt beverage' means beer, lager, malt liquor,
ale, porter, and any other brewed or fermented beverage containing at least one‑half
of one percent (0.5%), and not more than six percent (6%), one-half of
one percent (0.5%) alcohol by volume."
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
