A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to provide additional funding for the aid to public libraries fund.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Cultural Resources the sum of three million seven hundred thousand dollars ($3,700,000) for the 2006‑2007 fiscal year to provide additional funding for the Aid to Public Libraries Fund.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2006.
