A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to direct the joint LEGISLATIVE TRANSPORTATION oversight committee to study the sources of steel and iron for non‑federally funded transportation projects.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  The Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee shall study the sources of steel and iron used in non‑federally funded transportation projects around the State. The Committee shall report the results of its study, including any recommended legislation, to the 2008 Regular Session of the 2007 General Assembly on or before February 1, 2008.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
