A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to repeal a budget provision granting in-state tuition to certain full scholarship students.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  G.S. 116-143.6 is repealed.

SECTION 2.  The repeal of G.S. 116-143.6 by Section 1 of this act does not affect the receipt of full scholarships for the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 academic years by persons who received the scholarships prior to the repeal.

SECTION 3.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
