A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to repeal a budget provision granting in‑state tuition to certain full scholarship students.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  G.S. 116‑143.6 is repealed.

SECTION 2.  The repeal of G.S. 116‑143.6 by Section 1 of this act does not affect the receipt of full scholarships for the 2006‑2007 and 2007‑2008 academic years by persons who received the scholarships prior to the repeal.

SECTION 3.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
