A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds for the Biofuels Center of North Carolina to continue the implementation of the North carolina strategic plan for biofuels leadership.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Biofuels Center of North Carolina, Inc., the sum of five million dollars ($5,000,000) for the 2008-2009 fiscal year for the Center's costs of implementing the North Carolina Strategic Plan for Biofuels Leadership developed under S.L. 2006-206, which plan will make North Carolina more energy independent.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2008.
