A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds for the north carolina research campus at rowan‑cabarrus Community College.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Community Colleges System Office the sum of three million one hundred ninety‑one thousand three hundred sixty‑one dollars ($3,191,361) for the 2008‑2009 fiscal year for the North Carolina Research Campus at Rowan‑Cabarrus Community College.  These funds shall be used for a lease‑to‑own building on the North Carolina Research Campus, to operate a biotechnology training program, and to replace equipment.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2008.
