A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds for the construction of the horse park of the south.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Board of Governors of The University of North Carolina the sum of five million dollars ($5,000,000) for the 2008‑2009 fiscal year to be used for the construction of the Horse Park of the South in Rockingham County.  The horse park is a collaborative partnership between the Horse Park of the South, a nonprofit organization, and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2008.
