A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to expand the teacher cadet program to all counties in the state.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction the sum of two hundred seventy‑eight thousand five hundred dollars ($278,500) for the 2008‑2009 fiscal year to expand the Teacher Cadet Program with the hope of all counties in the State participating in the program.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2008.
