A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to the north carolina 4‑h camps and conference centers.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Board of Governors of The University of North Carolina the sum of nine million five hundred thousand dollars ($9,500,000) for the 2008‑2009 fiscal year to be allocated to the agricultural programs fund of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at North Carolina State University for repairs, renovations, and new construction at the following North Carolina 4‑H Camping System properties:

(1)       Betsy Jeff Penn 4‑H Camp (Rockingham County).

(2)       Millstone 4‑H Center (Richmond County).

(3)       Sertoma 4‑H Center (Stokes County).

(4)       Swannanoa 4‑H Center (Buncombe County).

(5)       Eastern 4‑H Center (Tyrrell County).

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2008.
