A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO THE Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services, FOR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES SERVICES.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services, the sum of two hundred eighty‑four thousand three hundred thirty‑one dollars ($284,331) for the 2008‑2009 fiscal year.  These funds shall be used to support people with developmental disabilities with direct services needs in the following independent and affordable housing projects: The Serving Cup (Wake), Residential Support Services (Mecklenburg), The Arc of Rowan (Rowan), and Buncombe County Blue Ridge Homes.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2008.
