A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to the city of charlotte to support scholarships and to promote the ciaa tournament.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the City of Charlotte the sum of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for the 2007-2008 fiscal year for scholarships and for marketing and promoting the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Basketball Tournament.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2007.
