A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to provide for Ocean isle beach shore protection.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding G.S. 113A-115.1, the Coastal Resources Commission may authorize by variance certain types of beach protection if the Commission finds that the proposed type of protection satisfies the criteria developed by the Commission to prevent adverse impacts on others.

SECTION 2.  This act applies only to the Town of Ocean Isle Beach.

SECTION 3.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
