Short Title:        Domestic Violence Funds.

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to the domestic violence center fund and to appropriate funds for the purchase and maintenance of online, web‑based software for grant application and distribution for domestic violence, sexual assault, and displaced homemaker grant funds, as recommended by the joint legislative committee on domestic violence.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Administration the sum of four million nine hundred forty thousand three hundred fifty‑five dollars ($4,940,355)  for the 2009‑2010 fiscal year and the sum of four million nine hundred forty thousand three hundred fifty‑five dollars ($4,940,355) for the 2010‑2011 fiscal year to be allocated to the Domestic Violence Center Fund established under G.S. 50B‑9.  These funds shall be recurring.

SECTION 2.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Administration the sum of eighty‑eight thousand two hundred dollars ($88,200) for the 2009‑2010 fiscal year for the purpose of obtaining online, Web‑based software for grant application and distribution for domestic violence, sexual assault, and displaced homemaker grant funds.

SECTION 3.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Administration the sum of twelve thousand dollars ($12,000) for the 2009‑2010 fiscal year and the sum of twelve thousand dollars ($12,000) for the 2010‑2011 fiscal year for the purpose of maintaining online, Web‑based software for grant application and distribution for domestic violence, sexual assault, and displaced homemaker grant funds.  These funds shall be recurring.

SECTION 4.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2009.
