A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to the board of governors of the university of north carolina to design a new life science and biotechnology building to be constructed at east carolina university.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Board of Governors of The University of North Carolina the sum of fifteen million one hundred sixty thousand dollars ($15,160,000) for the 2009‑2010 fiscal year to be allocated to East Carolina University as planning funds to be used to design a new life science and biotechnology building to be constructed at East Carolina University.

SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2009.
