A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to allow licensed barbers to practice barbering in a client's home.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  G.S. 86A‑15 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:

"(c)       Notwithstanding any other provision of this Chapter, the following individuals may practice barbering in a client's home without meeting the requirements of subsection (b) of this section:

(1)        A registered barber.

(2)        A registered apprentice barber under the supervision and control of a registered barber."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
