A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriately recognize the national guard and to create uniformity in the spelling of the term "national guard" wherever it appears in the general statutes by capitalizing it, as recommended by the joint study committee on military and veterans' affairs.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  The Revisor of Statutes shall modify the term "national guard" wherever it appears in the General Statutes so that both the word "National" and the word "Guard" are capitalized.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
