A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to a north carolina military business center office in the town of boone.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Community Colleges System Office the sum of seventy thousand dollars ($70,000) for the 2009‑2010 fiscal year and the sum of seventy thousand dollars ($70,000) for the 2010‑2011 fiscal year to support the North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) in its efforts to increase military business for existing North Carolina companies, support recruitment and development of defense business in North Carolina, and integrate transitioning military personnel and family members into the workforce. These funds shall be used to establish a Business Development Team Office in the Town of Boone.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2009.
