A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT to appropriate funds for the historic barker house in edenton.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Edenton Historical Commission the sum of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for the 2009‑2010 fiscal year for repairs at the historic Barker House in Edenton, which served as the home of Penelope Barker, a prominent figure in the 1774 Edenton Tea Party.
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2009.
