A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to allow the use of fees collected from the Friends of the great Smoky Mountains National Park Special State Attraction plate to be used for ordinary administrative AND OPERATING expenses.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  G.S. 20‑81.12(b2) (1c) reads as rewritten:

"(1c)     Friends of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. – The revenue derived from the special plate shall be transferred quarterly to the Friends of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Inc., to be used for educational materials, preservation programs, capital improvements for the portion of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park that is located in North Carolina, and operating expenses of the Great Smoky Mountains National Parkrelated administrative and operating expenses."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
